submissions must be from Georgia writers and should be under 4000 words
. We like surprises. We like quirkiness. We like stories that engage our fives senses and use strong dialogue. Although, on occasion, we will publish "character sketches," we are looking for short stories that have a good storyline. Something must happen. We prefer to see a character transform in some way. And above all, show
us instead of telling us. For more on "show don't tell," please refer to the Editors Pub column on page 28 in Exit 271's winter 2016 issue: http://issuu.com/exit271georgiawritersresource/docs/winter-2016/28
All work should be previously unpublished. You may submit up to two short stories. Please include the title, word count, page number, and your name in the header of each page of your submission.
